What a surprise! When you stay at our hotel in Amiens, you’ll have the chance to visit one of the best French zoos north of Paris! Amiens Zoo is located 2 km away from the Grand Hotel de l’Univers, and will allow you to discover the fauna of all the continents.
With around 200,000 visitors each year, Amiens Zoo has remained a success since its opening in the early 1950s. Beloved by Amiens residents and tourists alike for its attractive entrance fees (free on 14th July), the zoo today has more than 85 different species of animal and around 400 animals in total. The park, with its wonderful greenery and waterways, spreads over 7 hectares.
Ever successful, Amiens Zoo continues to grow and house different species including Goeldi's marmosets and, more recently, yellow-crested cockatoos and Elliot's pheasants. Open every day for the enjoyment of anyone who has retained their inner child!
